The Chinese Apple will introduce the Xiaomi Mi 13 series of flagship phones in the coming days. They will be the first to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile chip. Though the VIVO X90 is assumed to sport the same chip, at the launch conference held recently, VIVO didn’t say a word about the specific model of the chi. Well, the release date is approaching. So it’s logical that the leaks and rumors about the forthcoming models have intensified.
Xiaomi Mi 13 design and screen
For instance, today, a Weibo blogger specializing in smartphone accessories showed a protective case of the alleged Xiaomi Mi 13. As we can see, the Mi 13 adopts a straight screen with a central punch-hole design. Also, the middle frame is designed with right-angled edges. The Mi 13 Pro will also use a 6.7-inch Samsung 2K E6 curved screen. Its frame will be narrower than the previous generation.
Before this, we heard that the Xiaomi Mi 13 Standard Edition has a screen size of 6.2 inches and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Apart from the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, this variant will also support 67W wired flash charging. In this regard, Xiaomi said it would become the mobile phone with the most robust performance and battery life in Xiaomi’s history.

In fact, the phone has been leaked on GeekBench, showing a performance close to the Apple A16. Moreover, this model has surpassed many models in the same segment, scoring 1507 points in the single-core test and 5343 points in the multi-core test.

Price and launch date
However, we have also heard that due to the upgraded positioning of Mi 13 and the impact of the cost exchange rate, the price is expected to increase significantly, 15-20%. It should cost around 4,500 yuan ($627).
The machine will be released in December and appear on the same stage as MIUI 14. As for the latter, the product manager of Xiaomi has already stated that it can compete with iOS.
