Recently, Xiaomi’s two new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phones have got three certificates. Among them, the 22061218C model is expected to be the MIX FOLD 2, while the 22081212C is expected to be the Redmi K50 Ultra. From the documents, we can see that the Xiaomi FOLD 2 will have 12GB+512GB and 12GB+1TB storage options, whereas the Redmi K50 Ultra will offer 12GB+256GB and 8GB+128GB storage configurations.

Previously, we learned that the Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD 2, codenamed “zizhan”, has a screen size of 8 inches. This is not much different from the iPad mini’s 8.3-inch screen. The external screen size is 6.5 inches, which can be folded in both directions.

Also, the FOLD 2 will sport the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip; the 2.5K resolution screens will support LTPO 120Hz high refresh rate; it will have better control of the crease. The Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD 2 is only a little thicker on one side, where the charging port is.

There will be a 50-megapixel outsole sensor, which will support Leica technologies as well as Dolby Vision HDR video shooting. Plus, the company will add its own-developed professional imaging chip Surge C1. This processor has a dual filter configuration. So it can realize parallel processing of high and low-frequency signals. The signal processing efficiency is increased by 100%. With the self-developed algorithm, the 3A (AF, AWB, AE) performance of the image is greatly improved.
