Xiaomi is going to announce a new tablet in the second quarter of this year. As you guess, we are talking about the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. Though there is still a lot of time before the tablets from this lineup will hit the market, we already know too much about its selling points. So what today, a Weibo tipster said is not anything new but confirms what we knew.
Xiaomi Pad 6 specs
According to the him, the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will include two variants – the standard edition and the Pro version. Both models will use a domestic screen with a resolution of 2880*1800p. Other than that, the screen will support a refresh rate of 120/144Hz as well as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. However, it’s not going to be an OLED material. Instead, the company will use an LCD material. We should take this news with a grain of salt. Under the hood, these two will house the SM8250AC (Snapdragon 870) and the SM8475 (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1) processors, respectively.
In addition, the Xiaomi Pad 6 series will have a storage specification of up to 12GB+512GB. They will support 67W fast charging, a large battery, a physical fingerprint scanner, and many more. Unfortunately, there shouldn’t be 5G network support.
Prior to this, we had heard that the Xiaomi Pad 6 series had been upgraded to an all-metal body. Also, it will come with a USB 3.0 port, narrower borders on the screen, and a larger field of view. There will be four speakers. Previously, Mukul Sharma reported that the series had begun to enter the internal testing process in Europe and is expected to be officially unveiled in the second quarter of 2023.
So in comparison to the previous generation, the upcoming Xiaomi tablets will get serious improvements. But agree that none of them can challenge the iPad.
