OPPO is said to be working on a new Android tablet. This brand released two tablets last year. But both were limited to China. Later, one of them went on sale in India. In this regard, we should mention the OPPO Pad, which was a premium Android tablet exclusively released in China. The recent rumors suggest that the company is already working on a follow-up model to the OPPO Pad. However, there is no official information concerning the release date. Meanwhile, some important details about the OPPO Pad 2 have been leaked.
OPPO Pad 2 highlights
The information comes from a very famous Weibo tipster. So the credibility of the leak is too high. He said that the OPPO Pad 2 would be upgraded in terms of display, charging speed, and battery.
The OPPO Pad 2 will come with a slightly larger display than its predecessor. As a reminder, the first-gen model came with an 11-inch display. As for the new model, it will sport an 11.x-inch display. But there is no info on the exact display size. The resolution should be higher at 2800 x 2000 pixels. Also, it should be an LCD screen supporting 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.
Under the hood, we will find a 9500mAh battery. The OPPO Pad 2 should support 67W fast charging out of the box. In comparison, the original OPPO Pad had an 8360mAh battery and 33W fast charging support.
The tipster had previously claimed that the upcoming OPPO tablet would have a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The latter will be paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The tablet runs Android 13 right out of the box. On the top of it, there is the ColorOS 13 skin.
This tablet is expected to look very similar to the previous model. It won’t be surprising if the 2nd generation of the OPPO Pad is an improved version of the OnePlus Pad.
