Samsung and Qualcomm have entered into a partnership for the upcoming line of Samsung smartphones. As for the upcoming Galaxy S23 series, it will have a unique chipset officially named “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.”

A special Snapdragon 8 chip

The chipset may have a long name, but Samsung has created a simpler way to remind consumers about the special chipset running their new flagships, which is the new, redesigned Snapdragon logo. Consumers can expect to see this logo prominently displayed on billboards and online starting next week as Samsung’s Galaxy S23 lineup is officially unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked Event on February 1. The chipset will be exclusive to Samsung, at least at launch.

Exynos 2400 is coming

Samsung’s self-developed Exynos 2300 will no longer be used in the Galaxy S23 series. Instead, the company will use it in the Galaxy S22 FE, a mid-range device.

The Exynos 2400 will start mass production in November this year and will be adopted in the subsequent Korean version of the Galaxy S24 series. At present, we have heard about the Exynos 2400 specs. But they are quite different. Say, one of the leaks say that the chip will adopt 1+4+3 octa-core architecture, while the other says that the processor will use 1+2+3+4 ten-core architecture.

It is expected that the super large core will be the Cortex-X4, the small core will be the Cortex-A510, and the large core will be the Cortex-A720.
