We know that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be the world’s first smartphone supporting 240W fast charging solution. Today, we learned that the phone with the model number RMX3708 had appeared on GeekBench.

In this benchmark platform, the Realme GT Neo 5 achieved a single-core score of 1279 and a multi-core score of 3902. We can also see on the listing that the phone runs the Android 13 system out of the box. Plus, we can see that there will be a 16GB memory version. Plus, we have heard that it would have a 1TB native storage. The motherboard codenamed “taro” may be related to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.

This handset has managed to appear in TENAA previously. It will use a 6.7-inch 1.5K screen with a resolution of 2772*1240p. The screen will also have other outstanding parameters, such as 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. It will sport the first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chip clocked at 3.2GHz.

Realme has officially announced that it will be the first mass-produced 240W smartphone in the industry. The Realme GT Neo 5 will be released in February and this is the date when this technology will appear on the market for the first time. As for the technology itself, Realme adopts a three-way 100W charge pump parallel design, 20V 12A input, and 10V 24A output, and the charging conversion efficiency reaches 98.5%. The phone also uses a 12A charging cable, which increases the current carrying capacity by 20% compared with the previous generation. The solution uses a 240W dual GaN mini charging head with a single USB-C interface, which is only 5% larger than the previous 150W charging head. The charging head supports the 240W SuperVOOC protocol and is compatible with the 65W PD protocol, QC protocol, and VOOC protocol.
