The Chinese versions of the Redmi Note 12 are a good base to make assumptions. For instance, we can think of at least three models – the vanilla version, the Pro variant, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Plus, we are almost sure there will be one country-specific version. In this regard, we should mention Mukul Sharma’s leaks that the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will come with a 200MP primary camera on the rear.

There is still no official release date for the Indian Redmi Note 12 series, but we think it will be announced in the coming weeks. We even shouldn’t rule out the possibility of coming before the end of the year.
Redmi Note 12 5G highlights
The Redmi Note 12 5G vanilla variant will sport a 6.67-inch Samsung GOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will adopt a punch-hole screen design. Under the hood, we should find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 mobile platform with an octa-core CPU. Plus, it will leave the factory with Android 12-based MIUI 13.
In terms of photography, the Redmi Note 12 5G will sport two rear cameras, including a 48MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the company has preserver an 8MP resolution shooter. The 5,000mAh battery will support 33W charging. And as the name implies, it will support 5G network. Other than that, it will support dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for faster charging and data transfer.
The Pro models
The Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and up to 900nits brightness. Under the hood, we will find the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip. It integrates the Mali-G68 GPU. Of course, these variants will run MIUI 13.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro will be available in four storage combinations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB. Whereas the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will come in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB variants.
The Pro model in the series will have a triple camera on the back. The camera module will include a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture, 6P Lens, OIS, an 8MP UW lens, and a 2MP macro unit. The 16MP front-facing camera will be ideal for selfies and video calls.
As said, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is rumored to come with a 200MP Samsung HPX primary sensor with f/1.65 aperture, 7P Lens, ALD coating, and OIS. It will be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, it will have the same 16MP snapper.
Like other models, the phones will include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.

Finally, the Pro version will come with a 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charging support. At the same time, the Pro+ version should support 120W fast charging.
We have no doubts that the new Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones will succeed whenever they go, because the company has already managed to sell over 350 million Note line phones.
