Thanks to the competitive price/performance ratio, the Redmi K50 series has achieved good sales results. As for the follow-up model, the Redmi K60 is promised to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chip. This makes it one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2023.
What do we know about the Redmi K60 series?
Recently, the phone was assumably leaked in spy photos. More precisely, we are talking about the leaked photos of the packaging of the Redmi K60. If the spotted photos belong to the model we are talking about, the device is ready to market. It also means that the K60 launch event is around the corner.
At the same time, the information extracted by the server shows that at least three Redmi K60 models have been prepared. In the system, they have version numbers v14.0.2.0.TMNCNXM, V14.0.0.4.TMKCNXM, and V13.0.1.0.SMMCNXM. If nothing else, they should correspond to the K60, K60 Pro, and K60E, respectively. This means that only the K60E will run the MIUI 13 system, while the other two models will come with the MIUI 14 version.
Prior to this, we’ve heard that the Redmi K60E would sport either the Snapdragon 870 or the Dimensity 8200 chips, while the K60 and K60 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, respectively.
In addition, the K60 Pro will also use a 2K 120Hz display and support 67W wired fast charging and wireless charging for the first time.
Initially, the Xiaomi Mi 13 was scheduled to come on December 1. But for unknown reasons, it was postponed. The new launch date is still mysterious. This also means that the Redmi K60 launch date has been rescheduled. We think the company will unleash it in January next year and before the Chinese New Year.
