Xiaomi has intensified the launch of new products and is releasing new models one after another. For the time being, at least three smartphones passed the national 3C quality certification. In fact, this is one of the first steps to bringing any phone to the market. From it, we can learn about the charging specifications. For instance, a new phone with model number 22101316C, which is expected to be the Redmi Note 12, will come with an MDY-12-EF charger supporting up to 67W charging power.

In addition, the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro+ will support 120W and 210W fast charging, respectively. Their models are 22101316UCP and 22101316UC, respectively. Also, they will come with MDY-12-ED and MDY-13-EU charging heads. The manufacturer of the latter is Foxconn OEM.

The MDY-12-ED and 13-EU chargers support 17V-10.5A up to 178.5W and 20V-10.5A up to 210W super flash charging protocols, respectively. Given that the previous Redmi Note 11T Pro+ already supports 120W fast charging, the new Redmi Note 12 series is expected to support 180W or even 210W fast charging.

Redmi Note 12 positioning

We know that Lu Weibing has previously confirmed that the Redmi Note series will be upgraded every six months. In the year’s first half, the company will launch a “small flagship for performance,” while in the second half, it will be a “small flagship for the experience.” Thus, though they will belong to the same lineup and generation, these handsets will have different positioning. In this regard, the Redmi Note 12 that will be released soon will emphasize experience. At the same time, the current Note 11T Pro series focuses on performance.
