Redmi A1+ entry-level smartphone is officially out

Following the schedule, Xiaomi launched a new budget-friendly smartphone in India today. We are talking about the Redmi A1+, the successor of the original A2 released in the country a few weeks ago. Both are pocket-friendly models, but the newly-launched variant has a fingerprint scanner.

In a minute, you will get acquainted with the highlights of this handset. But before that, we want to say that the Redmi A1 line handsets are for those who don’t want to spend on a smartphone more than $100-$150.

Inside, this handset sports a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. In terms of storage configuration, the phone has two variants. One has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, while the second version comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. However, you can expand the memory through the microSD card slot to up to 512GB.

Also, the Redmi A1+ features a .52-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution. The highest supported refresh rate is 60Hz, while the aspect ratio is 20:9. There is a waterdrop notch, and the phone has a front camera of 8MP. On the opposite side, we have a dual camera, including 8MP and 2MP sensors. Here, we can also find a fingerprint scanner. This device comes with a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. Lastly, this entry-level smartphone runs Android 12 (Go) out of the box.

Redmi A1+

The lower variant costs Rs 7,499 ($91), whereas the 3GB RAM variant is Rs 8,499 ($103). You can choose from three colorways – Green, Blue, and Black. The shipping will commence on October 17 via Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, Flipkart, and retail partners.

In fact, there is no feature that this handset can show off. But customers who want to buy phones from this category count by millions. So we guess that Indian buyers will welcome this Redmi smartphone.
