Xiaomi Mijia Air Purifier 5S officially launched with a price tag of 1599 yuan (about $220). It supports functions like formaldehyde removal, allergen elimination, and sterilization, boasting medical-grade certification.
Equipped with a sensitive formaldehyde sensor, it displays formaldehyde pollution digitally and visualizes changes in formaldehyde concentration. With a performance of 255m³/h formaldehyde CADR (single component load), it achieves a removal rate of 96.95% within one hour. Furthermore, it features sterilization and disinfection capabilities, equipped with dual antibacterial and antiviral coatings and UV lights.
It achieves a 99.99% antiviral rate against influenza A virus H1N1 and a 99.99% antibacterial rate against Staphylococcus aureus. The product comprises a sensor system consisting of formaldehyde detection, PM10 allergen detection, PM2.5 detection, humidity detection, and temperature detection. It adopts a noise reduction design for the entire machine, with noise as low as 30.4dB(A) in sleep mode.
Additionally, it integrates Xiaomi’s powerful smart technology and supports operation via the Mijia App and Xiao Ai voice assistant. Other functions include a screen that can be turned off, support for rapid circulation of 9000L of air per minute, and a detachable and cleanable top cover design. Users can also monitor filter life status through the app.
