The new car features a coupe-style body with an extended roofline that reaches all the way to the rear. To distinguish it from the X1, the vehicle sports newly designed headlights and taillights. The traditional circular design within the headlights has been replaced by arrow-shaped LED lights. Drawing design inspiration from the X6, the hexagonal kidney design gives it a distinctive look. The addition of numerous black elements in the body’s decorative parts enhances its dynamic appearance. Even the door handles have been designed to be flush with the doors. Additionally, the 2024 BMW X2 will be the first compact model capable of accommodating 21-inch wheels.

Let’s shift our focus to the interior, where the new car features a one-piece curved screen design that combines a 10.25-inch information display with a 10.7-inch infotainment display. The system integrates the new BMW iDrive 9, which was first introduced on the 2024 BMW X1 M35i xDrive. Furthermore, the new car’s shift knob showcases a redesigned look while preserving physical buttons for functions like volume control, emergency lights, and the handbrake click.

The lengthened body of the vehicle makes the interior space more generous than the old model. When fully loaded, it can offer 716.4 liters of cargo space, and when expanded, the space can reach 1464 liters.

Regarding power, two power systems are available in the US market. Both the xDrive28i and X2 M35i xDrive come equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The former delivers 241 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, capable of accelerating to 100 kilometers in only 6.2 seconds. The latter offers an impressive 312 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, achieving a 100-kilometer acceleration in just 5.2 seconds. The new X2, with its increased space, distinctive styling, and wealth of new technology, will please the crowd.
