Today, a digital influencer revealed that Xiaomi is set to launch a new device known internally as “Manet,” which will debut as the Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro. This upcoming smartphone will feature Qualcomm’s SM8650 processor, also known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform, a 50-megapixel primary camera lens, and a 3.2x telephoto lens.
Reports confirm that “Manet” is the codename for the Redmi K70 Pro. The blogger also unveiled codenames for other models in the Redmi K70 series: “Vermeer” for the Redmi K70 and “Ingres” for the Redmi K70E, paying homage to renowned painters Edouard Manet, Johannes Vermeer, and Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, respectively.

Speculations surround the CPU of this phone, suggesting it will be the SM8650, a component of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform. TSMC’s N4P process builds this platform, and it includes a CPU configuration with a 13.19GHz X4+52.96GHz A720+2*2.27GHz A520, along with the Adreno 750 GPU. Notably, the Cortex X4, a high-performance core by Arm, stands out among these components. Compared to the Cortex-X3, the Cortex-X4 has 8 ALUs, resulting in a 15% performance boost while reducing power consumption by 40%.
The blogger also expressed concerns about the Redmi K70 Pro’s return to a metal middle frame design. The argument is that without this change, the phone might face a competitive disadvantage compared to other devices equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship processors. Regarding the 50-megapixel camera, images from the engineering model’s primary camera show a pixel count of 8160*6144, complemented by a 3.2x telephoto lens. The blogger speculates that this increase in pixel count could significantly enhance the new device’s imaging capabilities.
