Google Pixel 8 Series European Version Color Options and Prices Leaked

On October 4, Google officially announced its upcoming Made by Google conference. During the event, the new flagship phone, the Google Pixel 8 series, which has been the subject of numerous rumors regarding its specifications and latest features, will make its debut. Here, we present an early preview of five potential major upgrades that the new phone may offer.

The Pixel 8 series will consist of two models. The base-level Pixel 8 will have a smaller size compared to the previous Pixel 7. It will feature a 6.17-inch screen with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. On the other hand, the high-end Pixel 8 Pro will maintain a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2992 x 1344 and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Importantly, both Pixel 8 models will support a 120Hz LTPO variable refresh rate.

Google unveiled the highly anticipated camera specifications for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Both phones will use 50MP GN2 sensor features like 8K 30fps video recording and stacked HDR. The 8 Pro has a Sony IMX787 sensor for its ultra-wide-angle camera, which has 64MP and a 5x, 48MP telephoto lens. The Pixel 8 will have a dual-camera setup with the GN2 sensor and a 12MP IMX386 sensor for the ultra-wide-angle lens.

The upcoming Pixel 8 series will feature the third-generation Tensor G3 chip developed in-house. According to rumors, the base Pixel 8 will have 8GB of RAM, offering storage options of either 128GB or 256 GB. Additionally, it will come with a 4485mAh battery and support both 24W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. Conversely, the high-end Pixel 8 Pro will include 12GB of RAM and storage choices of 128GB, 256GB, or 512 GB. The phone will have a 4950mAh battery supporting 27W wired charging and 23W wireless charging.

Google Pixel 8 Series Prices

There are indications that Google may implement modest price increases. The rumored price for the 128GB Pixel 8 is €874.25 (incl. 23% VAT) and €710.77 excl. The company prices the 256GB model at 949.30 Euros, which includes 23% VAT, and 771.79 Euros excluding VAT. This marks a $50 increase compared to the previous generation.

The Pixel 8 Pro 128GB version is priced at costs €1235.72 with VAT or €1004.65 without VAT, and the 256GB version is €1309.95 with VAT or €1065 without VAT. Lastly, the 512GB version is priced at €1461.24, inclusive of the 23% VAT, and at €1188, exclusive of VAT.

It’s important to note that the information above is based on international media rumors, and Google has not officially confirmed it. All details may change and will receive official confirmation at the October 4th press conference.
