On May 1st, Gizcoupon reported that the Xiaomi and AAC Technology Camera Joint Laboratory was officially unveiled at Xiaomi Technology Park on April 28th, Beijing time. The ceremony was attended by Zeng Xuezhong, the Senior Vice President and Mobile Phone Department President of Xiaomi Group, as well as Pan Zhengmin, CEO of AAC Technologies, and Pan Kaitai, EVP of AAC Technologies.
Additionally, according to the official statement, Xiaomi and AAC Technology Camera Joint Laboratory is mainly divided into three modules. It contains image evaluation, camera motor analysis, and optical evaluation.
The image evaluation module tests image quality under different settings and temperatures. It evaluates AE, AWB, Shading, OB, Noise, and SNR. It also evaluates optical images under different temperatures and distances, including AF, SFR, Distortion, and LCA. The camera motor analysis module tests the structural dimensions, electromagnetic performance, frequency characteristics, and anti-shake performance of the motor. The optical evaluation module evaluates the imaging quality of the lens and stray light performance.
