Earlier today, OPPO’s sub-brand released a flagship smartphone dubbed the Realme GT Neo 5. This handset has tons of selling points, and it’s truly a top-end handset. But it has reached the ceiling in the industry in terms of charging and display.
Realme GT Neo 5 design
First of all, in terms of appearance, the Realme GT Neo 5 continues the consistent trendy design. The biggest highlight is the addition of the “awakening halo system” on the back. It’s a circle of RGB light strips, which are very eye-catching under the transparent window. This lighting system also supports 25 colors, 5-speed adjustments, and has charging light effects, notification light effects, e-sports light effects, etc.
There is a 6.74-inch screen on the front, which is the industry’s first 144Hz + 1.5K flagship direct screen. It uses a flagship luminescent material T7+, with a local peak brightness of 1400nit, 7 levels of intelligent refresh rate adjustment, and 4 levels of application refresh rate customization.

At the same time, the whirlwind memory engine provides instant bandwidth, intelligent preloading, asynchronous memory management, and App breakpoint continuous reading technology.
With the top-of-the-line 16GB large memory, the phone can run 45 background apps simultaneously.
Realme GT Neo 5 camera and battery
Although Neo 5 is a performance flagship, the imaging system has not fallen behind. It adopts a new generation of Sony’s flagship IMX 890 main camera with a 50MP resolution, 2.0μm four-in-one large pixels, a 1/1.56-inch ultra-large photosensitive area, and the super large aperture of f/1.88, combined with OIS (optical image stabilization).
In terms of charging, the Realme GT Neo 5 offers two versions – one is the 240W fast charging + 4600mAh battery variant, and the other is the 150W fast charging + 5000mAh battery variant.
Among them, 240W is currently the highest charging power supported by the Type-C interface. Charging for 30 seconds can make 2 hours of calls, play Honor of Kings for 1 hour, watch online videos for 1 hour, etc.
In other aspects, the Neo 5 has an X-axis linear motor, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, infrared remote control, and runs the Realme UI 4.0 system based on Android 13.
