We have talked about Xiaomi’s upcoming phone, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, many times. Today, Xiaomiui reported that the handset had appeared in the IMEI database.
Though there is nothing official, we have heard too much about the Redmi Note 12T. Everything has come through rumors and leaks. However, as the company is silent, we can’t insist on that the phone will be a flagship device.
As for the three leaked devices on the IMEI database, there are different model numbers. We guess they correspond to the same model. But as the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be sold under different names in different markets, most likely, these are models for them. For instance, the POCO X5 GT is going to be the rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
The Redmi Note 12T has a model number “23049RAD8C“, while the POCO X5 GT appears to be the “23049PCD8G” and the “23049PCD8I“. The former model should go on sale globally, while the last two are designed for the Indian market.
Redmi Note 12 Turbo specs
According to previous leaks, the new product will come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, which is not the most common on the market. Plus, there should be up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It will also receive a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The Redmi Note 12T will have three camera sensors on the back: the main sensor with a resolution of 50MP, an ultra-wide-angle sensor at 8MP, and an unknown module at 2MP.
The battery capacity will be 5000mAh, and it should support 67W charging. We also know that the smartphone will run Android 13 and MIUI 14 proprietary firmware. The release date of the Redmi and Poco phones is not yet known.
