Today, MIUI’s official Weibo channel announced that the Xiaomi 13 series would support the IIFAA hardware-level security camera standard for the first time. Thus, it will reach financial-level security standards and make payments more secure. The use of two-way verification and trusted applications greatly guarantees the security of smartphone cameras.
What is a hardware-level security camera?
Hardware-level security cameras are currently available on Alipay, and users who hold the Mi 13 series can upgrade Alipay to version 10.3.30.9000 and above to start using this feature.
It is worth noting that Xiaomi did not mention this function at the Mi 13 conference. Actually, we still couldn’t understand why the company didn’t mention such an important function at the conference.
IIFAA (Internet Financial Identity Authentication Alliance) was established in 2015 and was jointly initiated by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Ant Financial, Huawei, Alibaba, and other units.
