Xiaomi Mi 13 design
The Mi 13 comes with a comprehensive screen design. It has extremely narrow borders. The screen size is 6.36 inches, and the three frames around it are only 1.61mm wide. Also, the screen-to-body ratio reaches 93.3%. This phone uses Samsung’s new E6 material, known for 22% lower power consumption than the Mi 12. Under the sunlight, the brightness can reach 1200 nits, while the peak brightness can reach 1900 nits.
Other than that, the Xiaomi Mi 13 supports four Hollywood HDR standards: HDR 10, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Also, it can accurately display P3 wide color gamut.
There is ultra-dynamic display support. Simply put, the imaging system captures the dynamic range of the entire scene; then, this technology takes responsibility for displaying a more realistic relationship between light and shade. When watching photos or videos, it can clearly display a wide range of areas, from deep black to bright white, with brighter highlights and full details in dark parts. The tech will also ensure smooth transitions between different brightness areas. In some sense, it presents what the human eye sees.
The frame of the Xiaomi Mi 13 is made of light aluminum alloy. The thickness of the whole machine is only 7.98mm, and the weight is only 189g. Moreover, the phone comes with an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating.
The phone is available in four colors: classic black and white, new wilderness green (3D laminated craft glass), and distant mountain blue (nano-tech leather).

Camera
The Xiaomi Mi 13 comes with all native Leica imaging capabilities. Thus, the phone takes mobile photography to the next level and brings a new shooting experience.
The three rear lenses cover the optical zoom range of 0.6x-3.2x. Also, the camera supports up to 30x digital zoom. Each lens has passed the Leica optical certification. The latter includes a high resolution, large aperture, and almost imperceptible distortion. These three are what any camera needs to take excellent photos.
As for the specific lens parameters, the primary camera uses the IMX 800 CMOS. It has a 7P aspheric lens design, ALD professional ultra-low reflection coating, and new cycloolefin material. Other than that, it supports Hyper OIS, a super optical image stabilization. The super-outsole sensor can use an additional 3.5% redundant area to obtain a larger field of view when shooting videos. Compared to the Xiaomi Mi 12, it increases the field of view by 5°.
By default, the main camera uses a 4-in-1 mode to generate 12.5MP photos. Once you need double zoom, the main camera switches to the 50MP mode.
The telephoto lens of Mi 13 is designed with an equivalent focal length of 75mm and a large aperture of F/2.0 and supports OIS. Generally, 75mm is the classic focal length of Leica, and its field of view is 32°.
We also have to mention that the Xiaomi Mi 13 has four built-in Leica watermarks. However, unlike the mainstream filter apps on the market, the Leica filter will not distort the picture too much. Instead, it will finely adjust the color and tone to retain the delicate colors of the original picture.
Performance and hardware
The entire series comes with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. Plus, there is new LPDDR5X memory (peak value 8533Mbps), UFS 4.0 flash storage (3.5GB/s (read) and 2.6GB/s (write)), and an ultra-luxury cooling system with 4642mm2 VC.
In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 13 supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 wireless network, 4K QAM, and dual WLAN acceleration. It can provide a maximum rate of 3.6Gbps (5GHz + 2.4GHz).
Another interesting feature is the dual-card dual-pass support. In simple words, the two cards are always online. So when you’re using one of the cards to make a call, the second card will remain active, access the Internet, send and receive text messages, and even answer calls. You can switch between them anytime you need.
Inside, the phone hosts a 4500mAh high-density battery. According to the manufacturer, it lasts 1.37 days in a lab test, which far exceeds the iPhone 14, even the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
At the same time, it supports 67W wired second charging (100% full in 38 minutes), 50W wireless second charging (100% full in 48 minutes), and 10W wireless reverse charging.
The rest of the features include X-axis linear motor, Dolby Atmos, Dolby head tracking, infrared universal remote control, and many more.

The Mi 13 has not only four standard colors but also five limited-edition customized colors. They are: flame red, sapphire blue, hurricane yellow, jungle green, and cement gray.
The design inspiration for these custom colors comes from sports car elements, with a black metal middle frame and a special blackened logo.

The Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro still adopts a curved surface design. Thus, it has nothing in common with the standard edition when it comes to appearance. On the other hand, the curvature is not large. This makes it very comfortable to hold.
On the front, we have a 6.73-inch 2K LTPO ultra-dynamic screen with a 522PPI pixel density and support for 10bit color depth. Like the vanilla variant, this version uses the Samsung E6 material. The highest peak brightness can reach 1900 nits, which is still clearly visible even under strong outdoor light. The display supports a 1-120Hz infinitely variable refresh rate.
On both sides, the phone also carries color temperature sensors. It can accurately reproduce colors under any light. The phone supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and has passed the SGS low blue light certification.
The overall design of the back is symmetrical to the front. Thus, the rear panel has a quad-edge curvature as well. The return of the ceramic body obviously increases the texture of the whole machine. The surroundings of the lens module are no longer sharp.
