The original launch date of the Xiaomi Mi 13 was on December 1. For some unknown reasons, it was postponed. By today, everything went smoothly and the company released not only the Mi 13 line of new smartphones but also a number of other products, including a mini host, earbuds, MIUI 14, a new smart speaker, and the new color variants of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2.
New Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2 specs and colors
The new colors of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2 are:
- Moonlight silver in mirrored ceramic;
- Black, made of leather grain glass.
Apart from the colors, nothing changed. Thus, the folding screen smartphone by Xiaomi still comes with the same outstanding configuration that we’ve seen in the original models. But due to the system update, it already supports more third-party application adaptation. The system brings dynamic adjustment of the number of waterfall information columns.
As a reminder, this handset sports the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip inside. However, this is foldable. So its hinge is one of the essential features. Fortunately, his device has no reason to worry about a thing, as it comes with a self-developed micro-water droplet shape hinge.
Moreover, the camera it comes with has a Leica blessing, which means it can shoot amazing photos. The device runs the MIUI Fold 13 system. As the name implies, the MIUI 13 system is customized for foldable devices. Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 has an 8.02-inch internal and 6.56-inch external screen.
In addition, Xiaomi also launched the “Extreme Package” for the MIX Fold 2. It includes a 12GB + 1TB version of the mobile phone, a Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro white leather strap version, Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro silver earphones, a plain leather bracket protective case, and a wallet protection shell. The set costs 13,999 yuan ($2012).
The prices are:
- 12GB + 256GB: 8999 yuan ($1239);
- 12GB + 512GB: 9999 yuan ($1437);
- 12GB + 1TB: 11999 yuan ($1725).
