A few days ago, Xiaomi announced that the launch of the Mi 13 series was postponed. But the worst thing is that apart from the flagship smartphones, we also didn’t meet with the new products from other categories, such as routers, mini PCs, earbuds, etc. On the other hand, the pushed-back launch date allows us to learn about more specs of the forthcoming products. For instance, Xiaomi has never released a mini PC before this. And what we know about the new product is that it will be “the first high-performance” product in the company’s history.
Xiaomi mini PC design
Earlier today, a Weibo leakster showed the appearance of the machine. By the way, this is for the first time that the Xiaomi mini PC has appeared in public.
As you can see in the picture, the machine adopts an all-metal integrated design. It has a better texture than the common NUC products. Moreover, it looks more like a work of art on the desktop, a bit like an Apple Mac mini. (Not in vain, Xiaomi is called Chinese Apple.)
The overall design style is also relatively simple. The Xiaomi logo is on the top, and the power indicator light, 2 USB ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, and concave power button are arranged from left to right on the front.
The right side is densely packed with small heat dissipation openings. Though the image doesn’t show the left side, we think it will have the same design. The power supply, HDMI, and other interfaces will be on the back. The overall design is relatively beautiful and generous, and it is consistent with the design style of the Xiaomi Notebook series.
By the way, the Xiaomi mini PC has passed the 3C certification, the model is XM22AL5X. It will come with a 100W power supply. The latter allows us to predict that it will sport an Intel low-voltage U processor. So it will be ideal for daily office tasks.
