Later this month, on November 23, Huawei’s former brand will host a new product launch conference. At the scheduled event, the company will uncover the Honor Magic Vs. It’s the new-gen folding screen smartphone coming our way from a brand that has proven its competency in making good products. Earlier today, one of the most famous Chinese leakers revealed the key features of the forthcoming device.

Under the hood, our protagonist will hide the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Though the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will manage to be uncovered before this event, the new foldable from Honor won’t come with it onboard.

Apart from this, there will be a 2030mAh+2870mAh dual-cell battery. The latter will also support 66W fast charging.

What’s more important for any foldable is that the Honor Magic Vs will come with a new hinge design. At the same time, the company has optimized and reduced in weight of the body structure. In effect, the device will be lighter and thinner. However, the rest of the design elements remain unchanged in comparison to the previous generation. The screen still uses a 2K resolution and a high refresh rate. The large internal screen uses a punch-hole design.

In the promotional video previously released by Honor, we see the Honor Magic Vs adopts an inward folding design and has a golden middle frame.

For reference, Honor’s first folding phone’s internal screen, the Honor Magic V, is 7.9 inches in size. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Also, this display adopts a punch-hole design in the upper right corner and has a resolution of 2272*1984 and a screen ratio of 10:9. The phone boasts a patented ultra-thin floating water drop hinge technology. In effect, the phone has a 14.3mm ultra-thin body thickness when folded and 6.7mm when unfolded. The hinge supports 200,000 opening and closing.
