Gone are those days when only two manufacturers were making folding-screen smartphones. Now, there are half a dozen of companies that know how to design foldable. OPPO is among them. The next-gen foldable handset under this brand will hit the market in the coming months. We are talking about the OPPO Find N2, which has begun gradually appearing on the net. For instance, today, a tipster revealed that the device would be much lighter than many smartphones on the market. Moreover, this statement refers to the classic bar handsets and not foldable. Particularly, he said that the new device would be lighter than the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max or the latest ROG Game 6D Ultimate.

The blogger suggests that OPPO might be using new materials. But there are some concerns that those materials might affect the excellent build we found on the first Find N.
By the way, not that long ago, we learned that the upcoming OPPO Find N2 series will include two models. The traditional folding screen smartphone is codenamed “white swan,” while the clamshell model is known as “dragonfly.” Both will come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. They will run ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.
Besides the processor, the new OPPO foldable will sport 12GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. The horizontally folded model will have a 7.1-inch LTPO AMOLED internal screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
We think the phone will sport the Mariana X ISP chip. The incoming Find N2 is expected to have a mighty 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 32MP 2x telephoto camera setup. Thus, this is the same camera configuration as the OnePlus 11. The assumed release date is December 2022.
