We are setting up a small furniture assembly workshop in Sharjah and will need to move packed boxes and wooden crates around the unit, nothing too crazy weight wise, probably under a ton most days. I have never owned one of these before and honestly I do not know what to look for beyond the weight capacity printed on the side. Someone at the trade show told me to check the pump quality and the wheel material depending on whether I am on tiles or concrete, which makes sense I guess but I would not know a good pump from a bad one just by looking. Our floor is smooth epoxy so maybe nylon wheels are fine but I keep second guessing myself. Also how do you know what fork length you need? Does it depend on the pallet size or is there a standard here in the UAE that most suppliers follow? I would rather ask stupid questions now than buy the wrong thing and get stuck with it. A hydraulic hand pallet lifter sounds simple enough but there seem to be a lot of small details that matter.
