Mustang AC went warm after a weekend drive, is a refill enough?

My Ford Mustang has about fifty five thousand kilometres, and after a long drive to Dubai last weekend the AC slowly went from cold to barely cool. I live in Sharjah, and the car sits in the sun all day, so I use the AC from the first minute. A cousin says it just needs a gas refill and it should take twenty minutes. A friend says gas does not disappear by itself, so there must be a small leak, and a refill alone will only last a few weeks. I looked online for a Trusted Mustang AC gas refill in Sharjah, but every page said fast and cheap, so I still do not know what a proper job includes. Does a good shop check the pressure and look for a leak before adding gas? Should they use dye or a leak tester? Do they weigh the gas, or just fill until it feels cold? Is it normal to pay extra for a leak check, and how much should a refill cost on a Mustang? Can a dirty cabin filter or a weak fan make the AC feel warm even when the gas is fine? If you refilled your Mustang AC lately, please tell me what you paid, how long it stayed cold, and what you would do differently. Easy answers help me most.
