Heard good things about VERTEK film, how do I know I get the real one?

A friend of mine put film on his Land Cruiser last spring, and when I asked which brand it was, he said VERTEK and kept going on about how clear it still looks after a full summer. That stuck in my head, because my Lexus GX is only four months old and I keep thinking about protecting the front. I live in Abu Dhabi, park outside near my building, and drive to the island for work, so the bonnet and bumper already have a few tiny marks. When I searched for Genuine VERTEK paint protection film for Abu Dhabi cars, I found a lot of shops saying they use it, but I could not tell which ones really do. That worries me, because I have heard stories of shops using cheaper film and just saying the name of a good brand. So I want to ask people who have it on their cars. How do you check that the film is original, is there a label, a batch code or a paper from the film maker? Should the warranty come from the film maker and not only the shop, and does it still count if the shop closes? Does the film really stay clear after a few summers, or does it turn a little yellow at the edges? Is it worth paying more for a known brand, or does the installer matter more than the film? Another question is the price. What is a fair range for a full front, and what is usually included? If you have this film, please tell me what you paid, how it looks now, and how you checked that it was real. Easy answers help me most.
