Currently, it is in the stage of pre-sales, where early buyers will have the opportunity to get this advanced cleaning device before it hits the market. The P20 Pro is designed to deliver exceptional cleaning performance with enhanced features, making it a versatile choice for modern households. Officially, it was said that this was set to be released on September 15th, and this would be considered the time when this innovative product would hit the end-users. Don’t be left behind when cleaning the next level with the Roborock P20 Pro.
Roborock P20 Pro Design
We had a chance to take a closer look at the brand-new Roborock P20 Pro and are glad to share with you some real-life pictures and hands-on impressions. The P20 Pro features a fresh new design approach with softer, rounder lines rather than the sharp look of the older P10 series. That gives this P20 Pro a much more playful and friendly look, making it a nice addition to any home.
The base station of the Roborock P20 Pro measures 450mm in length, width, and height, while the robot itself, measures 352mm in length, 347mm in width, and 103mm in height. These kinds of dimensions ensure this P20 Pro will fit in places just right, whether for functionality or aesthetic reasons. For those having an eye for interior design, the P20 Pro has another variant that integrates a smart water supply and drainage that making it ideal for houses with higher standards for home decoration.
Under the signature design philosophy from Roborock, the P20 Pro comes with a sleety-white body and finishing in milky white, exuding simplicity and elegance. The design remains understated, with subtle details such as the top-mounted, slightly raised round laser sensor and the silver-accented Stone logo adding a touch of sophistication.
New Style
The two major updates in the Roborock P20 Pro can also be seen in its usability and design. First, the dust cover of this device is integrated into one unit. It leaves the groove that existed in the dust collection compartment of previous models. This further makes the device more beautiful and maintenance more convenient.
It has changed the material of the button from hard plastic to silicone, providing a more tactile and satisfying “damping” when pressed. This is quite an upgrade in terms of the general user experience and makes the P20 Pro more premium and responsive during everyday use.
The Roborock P20 Pro includes minor yet important design changes, adding to its functionality and user-friendly experience. The overall changes in design are not massive but their inclusion is thoughtful to the performance of the device and the ease of its use.
Sensors and Brushes
One of the key updates involves placing a bunch of sensors around the body of the P20 Pro-strategically. The sensors include an RGB camera on the front, an infrared fill light, a wall sensor, charging contacts, a recharging sensor, and exhaust vents. The sensors work harmoniously to make sure the P20 Pro navigates efficiently and cleans well, adapting to changes in the environment with great precision.
At the bottom of the device, the redesign replaces the previous three-brush setup with two spiral arc side brushes featuring longer bristles. These now include a robotic arm structure that extends to clean corners, ensuring thorough coverage of every spot. This, in itself, enhances cleaning by the robot and makes it more effective at reaching those difficult areas.
Besides the side brush upgrade, there has also been a facelift on the rubber brush area: for one thing, the P20 Pro comes fitted with a two-in-one rubber-bristle integrated main brush, as opposed to the symmetrical double rubber brushes used up until now. This should work even better to adapt to different kinds of rubbish, boosting versatility and efficiency at work.
The mop system also retains the mechanical arm design and supports lifting, just like the main brush. At the point of taking off the mop, on one side of the mop bayonet, there is a “track” structure, which provides a safe attachment and is easy for users to maintain.
The Base Station
The P20 Pro’s base station features a flip-top design that places the sewage tank, clean water tank, and dust bag at the top for easier access. The integrated long LED light in the flip-top area intuitively notifies the status via color changes, such as turning to red or white for easy recognition of the current state by users at one glance.
The base station of the Roborock P20 Pro has a standard deodorization module. There is an advanced system of cleaning fluid with silver ions impeding bacteria during cleaning at an incredible rate of up to 99.9%. This ensures a much healthier environment, hence this robot is ideal for homes where cleanliness is key.
Meanwhile, the robot’s base area integrates into the base station, which includes several advanced functions to enhance the overall cleaning experience. This includes high-temperature self-cleaning, dynamic hot water cloth washing, intelligent automatic dust collection, automatic water supply and drainage, automatic adding of cleaning liquid, high-temperature automatic drying, automatic replenishment of water, and even full-link antibacterial protection for a comprehensive worry-free cleaning service with less operation intervention by users.
What Makes It Unique
One of the hotspots of the P20 Pro is an upgrade in the dynamic hot water cloth washing function. The temperature reaches up to 75°C, providing flexibility for various cleaning needs. From light dirt to some stubborn stains, the P20 Pro changes to take on whatever one needs to clean.
Another thoughtfully designed part is the cleaning tray of the base station. It’s fully detachable and features a “wiper” mechanism that activates to clean debris from the bottom of the tray and its crevices, similar to how windshield wipers clean a car’s windshield. This makes maintenance easy and keeps the base station in good condition.
The design of the base station for the Roborock P20 Pro seems more enveloping. When it docks, only a small portion of the robot’s body would be in view, hence giving an effective seamless, and integrated look that provides perfect harmony with modern home interiors. This design not only makes it visually more appealing but also supports its efficiency and functioning.
The Roborock P20 Pro features an unbelievable 18,500Pa of suction power, advanced zero-tangle cleaning, and better performance regarding hair removal by the convection produced from the dual roller brushes. However, this upgraded model excels in hair removal with a tangle-free side brush designed specifically for pet owners.
Verdict: Key Features
Among them is the industry’s first intelligent chassis, which supports a lifting function: it easily crosses the threshold up to 4 cm high and cleans middle and long-haired carpets effectively, significantly improving cleaning coverage on various surfaces.
Additionally, the Roborock P20 Pro features a dynamic dual-arm sweeping and mopping system that supports high-temperature cloth washing up to 75°C. This upgrade ensures deep cleaning of both light dirt and stubborn stains.
It also uses RRmind GPT in the case of intelligent interaction, which can directly give instructions to clean with natural language input. Thus, it simplifies the operation process and easily controls the cleaning tasks according to customization.
