On April 18, 2023, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Band 8, with a starting price of 239 yuan for the standard version and 279 yuan for the NFC version. A year later, Xiaomi Band 9 has received certifications from multiple agencies, hinting at an imminent launch. Recently, Xiaomi Band 9 appeared in certification documents from the UAE’s TDRA and Indonesia’s telecommunication agencies, with the model number M2345B1. However, these documents did not reveal much about its specifications.
Xiaomi will release the Xiaomi Band 9 in both standard and NFC versions. It is likely to retain the 1.62-inch AMOLED screen, albeit with improvements in brightness and resolution. The Xiaomi Band 9 is expected to maintain the same battery endurance, lasting up to 2 weeks on a full charge. It remains unclear if Xiaomi will include a built-in GPS module.
Furthermore, its predecessor, Xiaomi Band 8, continues the design of Xiaomi Band 7 Pro, featuring an integrated body, symmetrical narrow-edge screen, various color options, and wristband choices. With a screen size of 1.74 inches and brightness boosted to 600nits, it supports over 150 sports modes and automatic recognition. It along with new additions like 3D sports fitness animations and interactive fitness courses. For the first time, it incorporates dual-channel physiological sensors, ensuring more precise monitoring and extending battery life to 14 days.
