Redmi Turbo 3 Released: Snapdragon 8s Gen3, Starting at 1999 Yuan

At tonight’s launch event, Xiaomi officially unveiled the all-new Redmi Turbo 3, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. It goes on sale on April 15th at 10 a.m. During the initial release period, customers will receive Redmi Buds4 Youth Edition earphones and screen insurance. The pricing is as follows:

  • 12+256GB version: 1999 Yuan (about $275)
  • 12+512GB version: 2299 Yuan (about $319)
  • 16+512GB version: 2499 Yuan (about $345)
  • 16+1TB version: 2799 Yuan (about $385)
  • Harry Potter edition (16+512GB): 2699 Yuan (about $375)

In terms of appearance, the Redmi Turbo 3 will be available in three colors: Ink Crystal, Blue Blade, and Ice Titanium, as well as the Harry Potter edition. It features a square-edged design, equal-width borders, and a back panel with a uniform depth curve, employing a plastic-free frame and a flat-screen design.

Performance-wise, the Redmi Turbo 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. It scored 1,754,299 points on AnTuTu V10, matching the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It also supports flagship technologies such as 100 billion parameter large models and AON cameras.

The Redmi Turbo 3 features an Ice-sealed cooling system. Additionally, it comes equipped with Fury engine 3.0. This engine supports AI performance scheduling and offers 1.5K oversampling for large games. This enables higher frame rates and lower power consumption while maintaining brightness throughout.

For display, the Redmi Turbo 3 has a 6.67-inch flexible OLED screen from Huaxing, with Xiaomi’s Qingshan eye protection and hardware-level low blue light protection, adapting to ambient light intelligently.

The screen resolution is 2712×1220. It typically boasts a brightness of 500 nits. When operating at full-screen, it reaches 1000 nits. Moreover, it offers a local brightness of 2400 nits. The color depth is 12-bit, and it features a P3 wide color gamut display. Additionally, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The touch sampling rate is 480Hz, with an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 2160Hz. Furthermore, it supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and HDR 10+. It also facilitates wet hand touch control. Moreover, it has been certified by the China Quality Certification Center for visual health friendliness. Additionally, it holds SGS five-star anti-drop and shock resistance certification. This marks the industry’s first release of the Xiaomi Qingshan eye protection white paper 1.0.

In terms of imaging, the Redmi Turbo 3 features a cyclone turbine group and a ring-shaped dual flash, with a 20MP Hawkeye OV20B sensor for the front camera and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera (OIS) + 8MP ultra-wide-angle (Sony IMX355) for the rear camera, supporting AI portrait algorithms and lightning-fast shooting, with support for 14 film cameras.

In terms of AI, AIGC functions have been widely implemented in the Redmi Turbo3, including AI portraits, AI elimination, and AI expansion. The third-generation Snapdragon 8s features platform AON capabilities, supporting low-power AON front shooting, smart AOD, smart floating screen, and AI gesture control. Additionally, the device supports AI call functions, AI smart voice assistants, AI smart noise reduction, AI network enhancement, and super 4/5G antenna arrays.

The Redmi Turbo 3 boasts a 5000mAh battery. Moreover, it supports 90W wired fast charging. This battery lasts for 1.37 days on a single charge. Notably, it charges 50% in just 12 minutes and reaches 100% in 35 minutes. It has a thickness of 7.8mm and weighs 179g, with a 0809 X-axis linear motor, IP64 dust and water resistance, stereo dual speakers, multifunctional NFC, infrared, Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced Edition, and Bluetooth 5.4.
