The Xiaomi Smart Camera Baby Care Edition has recently been launched on Xiaomi Youpin. It will begin crowdfunding from April 10th at 10 a.m. to April 17th, with a crowdfunding price of 749 yuan (about $103).
This model supports two modes: local and online. In the local mode, the monitoring screen displays images as soon as it’s turned on, directly connected to the camera without the need for network pairing. Images don’t pass through cloud servers and cannot be viewed through the Mijia App. In the online mode, the monitoring screen can be connected to the Mijia App and the camera simultaneously. It supports multi-device viewing and home sharing. Users can remotely view from their phones even while at work.
This new camera supports crying detection, cough detection, and sound detection. Users can also set up boundaries in the Mijia App for the baby’s play area or potential danger zones. When the baby leaves or enters these areas, timely alerts are sent to caregivers. When away from home, caregivers can check on the baby’s condition anytime via their phones. The camera detects any anomalies and sends dual alerts to the phone and monitoring screen promptly.
When adjusting the camera’s perspective, this Xiaomi Smart Camera Baby Care Edition only supports manual rotation to prevent accidental online manipulation, thus better-protecting family privacy. Specific locations such as the baby’s crib can be set for monitoring within the Mi Home App, outside of which won’t be captured.
Additionally, this product supports installation on baby cribs, walls, or desktops. The camera supports dual-band Wi-Fi, with support for 2.4GHz / 5GHz connections, microSD card / NAS storage/cloud storage. It offers a 10-hour long-lasting battery life with a 5-inch screen.
