A while back, blogger WHYLAB unveiled the new color variant “Diamond Purple” for Vivo S18. This morning, the official vivo account announced that the new color model is now available for pre-order and will officially go on sale on March 1.
The official account released images that showcase the phone with a diamond-pattern texture, three-dimensional leather craftsmanship, and curved seams reminiscent of the vivo X Flip small fold. Additionally, the phone boasts a combination of lychee-patterned suede and three-dimensional leather craftsmanship, proudly claiming to be a “textured masterpiece.”
Now, let’s look at the pricing for different configurations:
- 8+256GB: 2099 Yuan (about $290)
- 12+256GB: 2599 Yuan (about $360)
- 12+512GB: 2799 Yuan (about $389)
- 16+512GB: 2999 Yuan (about $415)
All models in the vivo S18 series come equipped with the in-house AI Blue Heart large model. It was previously released in three color options: Flowery, Clear Blue, and Mysterious Black. The thickness is 7.45mm, and it weighs 185.8g.
In terms of display, the vivo S18 features a 6.78-inch 2800×1260 resolution Sunlight Eye Protection screen (BOE). It supports 10-bit color depth, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The overall peak brightness reaches 1200nit, with a local peak brightness of 2800nit and support for 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor powers the phone, which contains a 5000mAh ultra-thin Blue Ocean battery, facilitates 80W fast charging, and features Bluetooth 5.4. It also incorporates the in-house AI Blue Heart large model, supporting functions such as super-powered Q&A, creative copy creation, intelligent text and image viewing, and incognito elimination of bystanders.
The front camera is a 50MP (Samsung S5KJN1, 1/2.76″) lens with a wide-angle dual soft light. The rear setup includes a 50MP main camera (OV50E, OIS, 1/1.55″), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle (OV08D10, 1/4″), and a studio-level soft light ring.
