Golden Reviewer recently published their evaluation results, which included the 3DMark Solar Bay test. This test focuses on assessing the ray-tracing capabilities of mobile phones. Impressively, Samsung Exynos 2400 emerged as the top performer in this test.

Exynos 2400

Specifically, the Samsung Exynos 2400 chip achieved a score of 8642 points while consuming only 9.3W of power. In contrast, its competitor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, trailed slightly with a score of 8601 points but consumed more power at 11.7W.

Furthermore, these results indicate that Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chip not only leads in performance but also efficiency, especially in games that support ray tracing. This can be attributed to the prowess of the Xclipse 940 GPU, which is based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture and excels in ray tracing tasks.

However, it’s worth noting that in more conventional tests, the Exynos 2400 lags behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 by about 10-15%. Despite this, the overall performance of the Exynos 2400, particularly in ray tracing, is commendable.
