Today marks the launch of Leapmotor‘s latest venture, the mid-sized SUV LeapMotor C10, now open for pre-sales.
- Extended range version: pre-sale price 151,800-181,800 yuan (about $21444-$25683)
- Pure electric version: pre-sale price 155,800-185,800 yuan (about $22010-$26248)
Company officials tout the LeapMotor C10 as the “best value SUV under RMB 500,000.” This new vehicle will hit showrooms in January, offer test drives in February, and officially debut in March.
Design
The SUV’s design language remains consistent with Leappo’s latest family-oriented aesthetics. Notably, the lidar mounted on the roof signifies the inclusion of high-end intelligent driving capabilities in the LeapMotor C10. The SUV stands out in its price range for supporting urban and high-speed NAP piloting, with the potential for L3 intelligent driving upgrades via OTA updates. Dimensionally, the LeapMotor C10 SUV measures 4739/1900/1680mm with a 2825mm wheelbase, affirming its mid-sized SUV status. It comes in five colors: sky gray, pearl white, glacier blue, tundra gray, and an exclusive emerald green.
Display
The LeapMotor C10 SUV has a floating central control screen and a full LCD dashboard, moving away from the triple-screen setup. Additional features include a flat-bottom steering wheel and electronic dampers. It concealed air vents, and amenities like wireless phone charging, drowsiness detection cameras, and rear air conditioning. Leather lavishly wraps the interior of the SUV, showcasing a 10.25-inch instrument screen and a 14.6-inch 2.5K central control screen.
Performance
Powered by a Snapdragon 8295 chip, a first in the industry, it delivers computing power equivalent to two iPhone 13 Pro Max devices. The large screen of the car accommodates up to 11 apps, marking a substantial increase from the usual four. Additionally, the vehicle boasts lidar, an NVIDIA OrinX chip, and 5G connectivity, guaranteeing a fully equipped smart driving and cockpit experience.
The LeapMotor C10 SUV leverages LeapMotor’s advanced second-generation CTC technology, using high-strength materials for better integration. Its torsional stiffness, surpassing luxury cars like the Rolls-Royce Phantom and BMW 7 Series, stands at an impressive 42500N·m/deg.
Power-wise, the SUV offers both extended range and pure electric options. The electric version delivers a maximum power of 170kW and a 530km range. The extended-range model combines a 1.5L engine with a motor, offering 70kW engine power, 170kW motor power, a 210km pure electric range, an 1190km comprehensive range, and a 5.2L/100km fuel efficiency.
