At CES 2024, Samsung, as per its tradition, updated its projectors. Samsung has launched four new Premiere projectors, including the world’s first wireless 8K projector. Through the innovative Lightwarp function, the interactive projection function is brought from the professional market to everyday consumers. This tool allows users to cast images onto any surface and engage with the content interactively.

The Samsung Premiere 8K features a tri-color laser DLP display, boasting an impressive brightness level of up to 4,000 lumens. Additionally, it’s equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and a wireless One Connect Box. This innovative box enables the transmission of 8K video to the projector over distances up to 10 meters. The device can project a massive 150-inch screen from just a 12-inch (approximately 304.8 mm) distance. In terms of brightness and projection size, this projector certainly holds its own.

Moreover, the Premiere 8K comes with an integrated 8.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound system, delivering a robust 100W of power. It also features Sound-on-Screen technology. This advanced technology shifts the sound field from the projector to the screen area, creating a more lifelike and immersive audio-visual experience. The projector supports both autofocus and automatic keystone correction, making it exceptionally user-friendly and convenient to operate. With its comprehensive features, the Samsung Premiere 8K stands out as a highly practical and efficient choice. Moreover, Samsung has equipped these projectors with a customizable control panel, offering users widgets like clock and weather. Notably, applications such as Notes allow users to write directly, enhancing convenience.

On the other hand, the Premiere 8K stakes its claim as “the first wireless projector to achieve 8K resolution.” Supporting wireless content transmission within a 10-meter range, this model connects to game consoles and streaming devices via the independent Wireless One Connect Box. Boasting a combination of 100W sound output, 8.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos, and “picture sound,” the Premiere 8K can project a 150-inch screen at a distance of 3 meters. To address the scarcity of 8K content, the device incorporates AI to upscale from 4K.

Positioned as an “all-rounder,” Premiere 5 claims the title of “the world’s smallest tri-color laser ultra-short throw projector” by Samsung. With dimensions of approximately 139x139x203mm and a weight of about 1.68kg, this model can project a 100-inch screen from a distance of around 0.43 meters. Automatic adjustment features for focus and color balance add to its user-friendly design. Additionally, the Premiere 5 includes a built-in 10W speaker and a screen-off mode for standalone music playback.

Beyond these, Samsung introduced the new Premiere 7 and Premiere 9 ultra-short-throw projectors. These models feature enhanced brightness compared to their predecessors, the Premiere LSP7T and 9T, and come with upgraded Qualcomm 4K chips, along with Dolby Atmos support. Notably, the new projectors can directly play thousands of games through Samsung’s Gaming Hub platform.
