Recently, the media carscoops exposed the road test spy photos of the upcoming BMW ix3 2025 model. This marks the first model under BMW’s Neue Klasse platform, internally known as NA5/NA8. It will launch in 2025 with a pure electric drive, and BMW has scheduled production at the Lida plant, their third vehicle plant at the Shenyang production base in China, which is expected to be operational in late June 2022.

Examining the spy photos, despite heavy camouflage, certain design elements from the BMW Vision Circular and Vision Neue Klasse concept cars are evident. For instance, the front grille of the new car’s headlights adopts a recognizable through-type design.

Looking at the car’s profile, the upward design of the new car’s waistline forms an arc from the front fender to the front door, extending upward from the rear door to the rear of the car, combining with the D-pillar to create a classic Hofmeister corner. The new car also incorporates hidden door handles and five-spoke two-color wheels. At the rear, it features a rear spoiler, rear window wiper, and taillights with a long horizontal design under camouflage.

Moreover, glimpses of the test car’s interior reveal the potential use of the through-type display screen from the Vision Neue Klasse concept car. Notably, there seems to be an absence of a traditional dashboard, hinting at the possibility of an enhanced AR-HUD displaying vehicle status information on the front windshield.

The new BMW iX3 2025 will likely offer options for both single-motor and dual-motor power systems, including rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive systems. BMW might label the entry-level model as the iX3 40 and potentially add future versions like a high-performance iX3 M version.
