On December 21, Honor unveiled the Honor Pad 9, featuring a “paper-like eye protection soft light matte screen” and starting at 1,499 yuan (about $209).
In terms of appearance, the Honor Pad 9 integrates the classic symmetry concept and adopts a center-mounted camera design, offering three colors: “Muguang White,” “Azure,” and “Starry Gray.”
The Honor Pad 9 comes with a 12.1-inch paper-like eye-protecting soft light screen. Utilizing self-developed AG etched glass technology, it effectively eliminates 98% of reflected light, achieving a paper-like soft eye-protecting effect. The tablet boasts a PPI of 249, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1.07 billion color high-depth display, an 88% screen-to-body ratio, and 500 nits brightness. Furthermore, this tablet has made technological breakthroughs in five major eye protection areas and secured the most comprehensive five-level authoritative eye protection certification in the industry.
Additionally, the tablet incorporates three major eye protection technologies: natural light-like eye protection technology. It reduces visual fatigue by 14%; sleep aid display technology increases melatonin secretion by 20% for peaceful sleep in children. Hardware-level low blue light eye protection, reducing harmful blue light by 36% to safeguard children from visual damage.
Notably, Honor Pad 9 introduces eight major sitting posture detections. It includes support for leaning on the table, lowering the head, tilting the head, lying down, sloping shoulders, side face, shaking, and distance reminder. The system actively prompts children to sit upright, correcting bad habits and promoting healthy posture.
In terms of specifications, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen1 processor, features eight surround speakers, and supports two-way vocal enhancement. Moreover, the tablet’s battery life is impressive, with an 8300mAh built-in battery and support for 35W fast charging.
For pricing options, the Honor Pad 9 offers two specifications: the standard screen and the soft light version.
