On December 21, Honor unveiled the Honor 90 GT, now boasting the second-generation Snapdragon 8 chip. Initially priced at 2,699 yuan (about $379), it’s currently available with a limited-time offer starting at 2,599 yuan (about $366).

The Honor 90 GT’s screen is another highlight, featuring the Honor Oasis Eye Protection Screen. This 6.7-inch 2664×1200 OLED flexible screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It achieves a global peak brightness of 1200nit and a local peak brightness of 2600nit. Boasting 10.7 billion colors and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, it also includes natural light-like eye protection, 360° adaptive dimming technology, and a sleep aid display.

Regarding its design, the Honor 90GT features a right-angled frame and an ultra-narrow 1.25mm bezel. Furthermore, its back lens design, inspired by an “engine”, and the distinctive “track double pattern” design, enhance its visual appeal. This model, with a thickness of 7.9mm and a weight of 185g, comes in three colors: GT Blue, Burning Gold, and Star Black in technical leather.

The second-generation Snapdragon 8, the Super Frame independent graphics chip, and Honor’s own C1 radio frequency enhancement chip. The device supports an expansive memory combination of up to 24GB+1TB and boasts a new 5268mm² 3D ice-cooled cooling system, providing a total heat dissipation area of ​​37347mm².

In gaming, the Honor 90GT stands out with its new frame and graphics engine. Officials state that it enhances the user experience in three ways: performance scheduling, image quality rendering, and touch control improvement. Notably, its performance scheduling is the first AI model based on reinforcement learning, enabling seamless full-frame performance. The image quality rendering, a pioneering GPU+NPU collaborative AI algorithm, ushers in a new era of PC-level graphics. According to Honor, In terms of touch control, it reportedly leads the industry by a significant margin. Additionally, the Honor 90GT supports game memory keep-alive for up to 8 games.

For battery life, the Honor 90 GT excels with a 5000mAh battery, supporting 100W fast charging. It can reach 60% charge in just 15 minutes and fully charge in 32 minutes. On the imaging front, the Honor 90 GT includes a 16MP front selfie camera and a robust rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera (Sony IMX906, OIS+EIS dual anti-shake) and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle macro dual camera.

Finally, Honor has already started pre-sales for the Honor 90 GT, which will officially launch at 10:08 on December 26. The pricing for the new model is as follows: the 12+256GB version is available at a limited-time price of 2599 yuan (about $366), the 16+256GB version for 2899 yuan (about $399), the 16+512GB version for 3199 yuan (about $449), and the top-tier 24GB+1TB version is priced at 3,699 yuan (about $519).
