LG has launched a new Gram series notebook today with Intel’s first-generation Core Ultra series processors. The 2024 LG Gram is now available on the Korean LG official website after its release in the Korean market.

The shelves feature two models: LG Gram 16 and LG Gram 17. Despite maintaining the same thin and light design, the 16-inch model weighs only 1199 grams and measures 16.8mm in thickness. On the other hand, the 17-inch model, at 1350 grams and 17.8mm thick, surpasses the thinness and lightness of many 14-inch models. The LG Gram family’s longstanding advantage lies in its thin and light build, which continues with these new models. Despite their lightweight design, the notebooks use high-quality materials and have received certification for passing the 810H military-grade durability test. Both models feature anti-glare IPS screens with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, covering 99% of the P3 wide color gamut. However, the display limits the brightness to 350nit.

The 2024 LG Gram notebooks internally feature the 1st generation Core Ultra 5 125H standard voltage processor. It has 16GB LPDDR5x (7467 MHz) high-frequency memory. While we don’t explicitly mention independent graphics, we assume they integrate integrated graphics. Furthermore, they include a Solid State Drive and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD.

Other features include a full-size backlit keyboard and an integrated IR infrared camera, supporting facial recognition login. In the audio department, the notebooks integrate dual 2W stereo speakers and dual 5W smart amplifiers, supporting Dolby Atmos. Both models feature Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, a 77Wh battery, and support 65W fast charging. They also come with two USB 3.2 Gen 2×1, dual Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, and a 3.5mm headset socket, along with a microSD card reader as an extension.

LG sells the Gram 16 at an official price of 1.89 million won (about $1460) in South Korea, while the Gram 17 is available for 1.99 million won (about $1537). Expect the release of other versions at the CES 2024 conference on January 9, 2024.
