At the recent unveiling event by OnePlus, the OnePlus 12 was officially introduced with a starting price of 4,299 yuan (about $599).

The design of the OnePlus 12’s camera module draws inspiration from high-end luxury watches, incorporating a crown mirror, a starry sky dial, and a time scale, dubbed “TIME Design” by OnePlus. For color options, users can choose from three selections: white, pale green, and rock black. Each variant utilizes cutting-edge technologies, such as a new generation of ceramic glass, the industry’s first emerald glass, and a novel silk glass technology.

The device sports a 6.82-inch 3216×1440 OLED screen supporting a 120Hz refresh rate (LTPO 3.0) and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. This display is compatible with Dolby Vision and rain touch functionalities. Additionally, the OnePlus 12 features the “Bright Eyes Eye Protection” technology, obtaining certifications from TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Protection 3.0 and the Chinese Eye Diagnosis and Treatment Engineering Technology Research Center for medical-grade eye protection.

Fueling the OnePlus 12 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 flash memory. Concerning storage, the device offers up to 24GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. Which purportedly sustains the activity of 48 applications for extended periods. The OnePlus 12 embraces a “next-generation ultra-light imaging system” and introduces the Sony LYT-808 main camera. This phone couples a 1/2-inch 64MP Howe OV64B periscope telephoto lens, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a front-facing 32MP IMX615 lens.

To enhance the gaming experience, the OnePlus 12 incorporates advanced features. It includes a new generation super-frame and super-picture engine. Additionally, a customized Pixelworks X7 independent graphics chip enhances the device’s graphics capabilities. The phone introduces the Lingxi Touch function, claiming 1 million consecutive slides uninterrupted. The commitment to optimizing gaming controls is evident through enhanced game buttons. The rain touch function has been upgraded to resist interference, especially in large water areas. These improvements collectively contribute to an immersive gaming environment on the OnePlus 12.

Other noteworthy features include a 5400mAh battery with 100W super flash charging and 50W wireless flash charging support. The device introduces OnePlus’s proprietary “holographic audio” technology, accommodating up to 12 audio source channels. It has an AAC Bionic Vibration Motor Turbo and an upgraded “Aerospace Grade Tiangong Cooling System Pro.” Connectivity options include new low-power Bluetooth 5.4 and USB 3.2 Gen1. The device is waterproof with an IP65 dustproof and waterproof rating.

OnePlus has released a range of protective cases, including three all-inclusive options starting from 69 yuan (about $9). You can pre-order the OnePlus 12 now, and it officially launches on December 11 at a starting price of 4,299 yuan (about $599).
