Redmi is set to release the annual flagship K70 series this month. It boasts that it will challenge the most powerful performance on the same platform. While the official pre-launch activities have not started, Redmi’s brand manager, Lu Weibing, and Redmi’s marketing department manager, Wang Teng, have repeatedly emphasized the formidable performance of the new devices, leaving no room for competitors.
Just recently, Lu Weibing took to Weibo to showcase his confidence in the K70 series’ performance. He stated, “When it comes to performance flagships, it’s all about Redmi. Wang Teng promptly retweeted this post and stated, “With stronger platform tuning, leading-edge cooling technology, and a top-tier 2K display, the performance flagship is all about Redmi K70.”
Reports state that the standard version of the Redmi K70 series will feature the second-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, while the K70 Pro version will employ the latest third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship chip.
Leaks suggest that this series will feature a 2K display with a new substrate, a narrow bezel design without plastic support, and a body composed of a metal frame and new glass material, significantly improving the overall feel. It’s worth noting that the Redmi K70 series will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, marking it as the first flagship in the Redmi series to do so.
