Recently, Tolly Labs in the United States conducted the industry’s inaugural Wi-Fi 7 AP performance test for Huawei, achieving remarkable results. The device’s overall performance surpassed 13Gbps, with a peak performance exceeding 4.33Gbps for a single terminal. This groundbreaking data not only shattered all historical Wi-Fi performance records but also established a new pinnacle for speed.
According to the Tolly test report, “Huawei AirEngine 8771-X1T Wi-Fi 7 AP’s 6GHz radio frequency delivers a throughput of up to 4.33Gbps for a real Wi-Fi 7 single terminal, marking the fastest real terminal Wi-Fi performance we have tested.”
It’s important to note that Wi-Fi 7 represents the 7th generation Wi-Fi standard, corresponding to the upcoming IEEE 802.11be revised standard. Technically upgraded from Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7 incorporates features such as a wider 320MHz bandwidth and higher-order 4096-QAM modulation. The theoretical rate of a single radio frequency can theoretically reach 23Gbps, a significant 2.4 times improvement over current Wi-Fi 6.
Huawei’s enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 7 AP, AirEngine 8771-X1T, supports dynamic zoom smart antennas and boasts 12 built-in spatial streams. The entire machine achieves an air interface rate of 18.67 Gbps. Test results reveal a peak performance of an astounding 4.33Gbps for the AirEngine 8771-X1T single terminal, with a low latency of 2ms and an overall machine performance reaching an impressive 13.25Gbps.
Huawei officials emphasize that in high-density, high-bandwidth, and low-latency application scenarios like the Metaverse, AR/VR education, manufacturing AOI, industrial control, telemedicine, and warehousing, the new generation Wi-Fi 7 AP ensures a smoother and more reliable wireless network experience.
Furthermore, public reports from 2021 highlight Huawei’s leading role in contributing to the formulation of Wi-Fi 7 standards. Huawei stands as the global leader in cumulative contribution standards.
