According to official sources, Xiaomi’s car ecosystem product, Xiaomi CarWith, is currently undergoing an update. The latest 2.0 version has enhanced itself to support a broader range of car models. We anticipate it will eventually encompass over 1400 car models, with a total vehicle count reaching 26 million.
The new version of CarWith has initiated compatibility testing within the Xiaomi community, and it invites owners of various brands and models to participate in the testing process. Users can simply download and install the CarWith 2.0 test package (password: 8A20) to test features like connectivity, music playback, and phone functions. Additionally, users are reminded to promptly submit feedback reports in case of any issues, including details such as log capture, vehicle brand and model, model year, and CarWith version number.
It’s worth noting that currently, car infotainment devices integrated with CarLife are already capable of using CarWith. When users first access this service, a privacy agreement will pop up, requiring confirmation before continuing.
With this upgrade, an increasing number of brands and car models will be able to harness this intelligent automotive ecosystem. Based on the list of compatible vehicles, brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Land Rover, Jaguar, and MINI, among others, have some of their models included.
Note: The Xiaomi CarWith mentioned in this article is a car infotainment application system that allows users to extend common mobile applications and services to their vehicles, such as navigation, music playback, and phone functionality, by connecting them to their smartphones.
