The ColorOS upgrade assistant, posted on OPPO, offered insights into the new changes introduced by the ColorOS 14.0 upgrade. Furthermore, we learned from Weibo that ColorOS 14.0 has optimized and adjusted the charging animation. Specifically, the charging animation now exclusively appears on the lock screen when you plug in the charger for the first time.
Afterward, it will no longer be displayed once it disappears. In addition, the music playback control in the control center serves as an entrance for quickly managing audio. It will permanently display and support the quick selection of recently played audio applications or switching audio playback devices, such as Bluetooth headsets or local switching.
To enhance the response speed of the black screen gesture, ColorOS 14.0 removes the animation effect associated with the black screen gesture. Simultaneously, it cancels the sound effects designed for the animation.
The developers have upgraded “Children’s Space” to “Children’s Mode” in terms of settings and renamed “App Usage Time” to “Screen Limitation.” Users can now access this feature through “Digital Health and Family Protection > Screen Limitation.” Additionally, they have enhanced “Charging Protection” to “Smart Charging Mode,” where the smart capability service will learn the user’s charging habits and intelligently adjust the charging speed to delay battery aging.
