Android 14 Beta 5.3 addresses numerous issues. As per the official release notes, it resolves a problem associated with “CallStyle” notifications that could occasionally lead to app crashes. Additionally, Google has tackled various issues causing disruptions in calls or carrier service, along with a system-related problem where the phone took an “inefficient path” when imposing CPU limits on background-running apps. Several other issues impacting system stability and performance have also been rectified.

Moreover, Android 14 Beta 5.3 addresses certain issues specific to the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. One of these problems caused the taskbar to intermittently vanish when users interacted with it. Furthermore, Google has addressed an issue concerning live wallpapers, which previously caused animations to stutter upon app launch. Lastly, this update resolves a bug affecting first-generation Google Fold phones, where the clock animation on the lock screen would flicker.
