Honor held the V Purse technology and fashion show conference, and officially released the Honor V Purse folding screen Smartphone. The 16+256 version comes for 5,999 yuan ($835), while the 16+512 version is priced at 6,599 yuan ($920). It will be up for pre-sale in limited quantities at 9 o’clock on September 19th and will hit the market on September 26.
As per the official description, this new wallet-shaped folding screen product not only surpasses the thinness and lightness records of folding screens, being thinner than 9mm but also incorporates more fashionable trend elements. Regarding its design, Honor V Purse embraces a Vendôme arch buckle design. Each time it opens and closes, it is accompanied by the sound of the physical structure, Vendôme gemstone facets, guilloche patterns, and more. It comes in three striking colors: Camellia Gold, Glacier Blue, and Elegant Black. Camellia Gold features a classic guilloche pattern, Glacier Blue showcases a soft cowhide pattern, and Elegant Black boasts a smooth lychee pattern.
When closed, it measures 8.6mm in thickness, unfolds to a mere 4.3mm, and weighs just 214 grams. According to Honor CEO Zhao Ming, this innovative product breaks the records for thinness and lightness previously set by Honor Magic V2, reducing the thickness of folding screen mobile phones to less than 9mm, ensuring a thinner and lighter experience. Honor V Purse adopts high-end watch technology from different domains. The butterfly wing hinge is remarkably thin at 2.98mm, and the self-developed hairspring structure’s shrinkage strength has increased by 400%. After 200,000 cycles, the crease change is only 34 microns.
In terms of interaction, Honor V Purse utilizes an outward-folding screen form. The three partitions of the front, back, and side of the Honor V Purse screen can operate independently. The “Honor 3D Full View Screen” officially goes by this name. It combines fashionably with various wallpapers, stickers, shoulder straps, and other elements.
Inspired by the fashion industry, Honor transforms the V Purse into a fashionable wearable wallet. It provides users with various options to express their personal style. They can easily customize their Honor V by selecting different belts, chains, and more.
Honor V Purse offers excellent performance with its Snapdragon 778G processor, LPDDR5 memory, and UFS 3.1 flash memory. Additionally, it features a 7.71-inch OLED screen with a 2348×2016 resolution, supporting a 90Hz screen refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 1.07 billion color display. It also includes 2160Hz PWM dimming.
The Qinghai Lake dual battery has a capacity of 4500mAh, and it is only 2.3mm thick. It also supports 35W fast charging. This battery is paired with self-developed shield steel, which boasts a strength of 1800MPa. Furthermore, it has earned the Swiss SGS folding screen double five-star certification. As for imaging capabilities, the new phone comes equipped with an 8MP front camera. Additionally, it features a rear 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
