Today, Transsion took the wraps off the clamshell smartphone Phantom V Flip 5G in India. The TECNO Phantom V Flip introduces a 1.32-inch circular secondary screen, referred to as the “planet.” This screen employs an AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 466×466 and a 60Hz refresh rate. It serves a dual purpose, saving notification previews and widgets, while also doubling as a secondary viewfinder for selfies.
It has a 6.9-inch AMOLED display featuring a resolution of 2640 x 1080. Remarkably, it supports a wide range of refresh rates, ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz, with a speedy 360Hz touch sampling rate. Notably, it flaunts an almost crease-free design and has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Transsion confidently claims that this display will maintain its virtually crease-free quality even after enduring an astonishing 200,000 folds.
The Phantom V Flip utilizes a dual-camera setup configured with 64MP+13MP. This setup leverages ISOCELL pixel isolation and pixel fusion algorithms, ensuring exceptional nighttime performance and dependable results in low-light conditions.
Additionally, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It draws its energy from a robust 4000mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging. The smartphone operates on the HiOS 5.13 operating system, which is based on Android 13. In terms of pricing, the TECNO Phantom V Flip starts at 49,999 Indian rupees(about $601).
