Xiaomiui reports that the Xiaomi Redmi K70 series is currently in the testing phase for MIUI 15, a new update based on Android 14. Internally, Xiaomi is experimenting with versions MIUI-V15.0.0.2.UNLCNXM, MIUI-V15.0.0.2.UNKCNXM, and MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNMCNXM, corresponding to different models within the Redmi K70 series.
Transitioning to the specifics of the Redmi K70 series, it encompasses three distinct models: Redmi K70 Pro, K70, and K70E, with model numbers “23117RK66C,” “2311 DRK48C,” and “23113RKC6C,” respectively. The Pro model will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the Redmi K70 will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the K70E will have a Dimensity 9200+ SOC processor.
Recently, the Redmi K70 Pro made an appearance on Geekbench, unveiling crucial specifications. As per the listing, the device operates on Android 14 and has 16GB of RAM onboard. Its power source is an octa-core processor with a 1+2+5 configuration, where the primary core clocks at 3.0 GHz.
Anticipated for the Redmi K70 series is an upgraded rear camera system, although official details on camera specifications remain elusive. Nonetheless, rumors indicate that these devices will offer an array of three or four cameras alongside improved sensors and lenses. Recent leaks suggest that the Redmi K70 series may not incorporate wireless charging, a feature that has become commonplace in most high-end smartphones.
Xiaomi has provided sneak peeks of MIUI 15 through screenshots, offering a glimpse into the forthcoming update. These screenshots showcase a new design approach emphasizing simplicity and minimalism. The update will introduce fresh elements, including a redesigned Control Center, and improved privacy settings.
MIUI 15 is projected to maintain compatibility with most Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones. Nevertheless, older devices might not enjoy the full array of new features due to hardware limitations.
