Over the past two years, there has been a growing trend in smartphones actively incorporating the “Dynamic Island” function into their mobile phone systems, aiming to boost user efficiency. This surge has been further propelled by the iOS system’s endorsement of Dynamic Island and the integration of live windows into Harmony 4. Moreover, the renowned digital blogger recently unveiled OPPO’s plans to integrate the ColorOS 14 system into the Dynamic Island ecosystem.
This strategic move primarily centers on enhancing the “capsule reminder” feature, which builds upon the foundation of ColorOS 13. Users can expect to receive this upgrade through an OTA update coinciding with the official ColorOS 14 release. Notably, as early as ColorOS 13, OPPO introduced a real-time notification feature that mimics the functional logic of “Dynamic Island,” displaying real-time application statuses on both the notification bar and lock screen. In addition, ColorOS 14 has upgraded capsule reminders, and the external small screen of foldable screen phones can also display real-time notifications.
On September 11, OPPO made an official announcement regarding the global public beta test for ColorOS 14, which is based on Android14 Beta. The initial batch of supported models includes Find X6 Pro, OPPO Find X6, OnePlus11, and OPPO Reno 9 Pro. As the system continues to evolve and mature, we can expect the team to roll out the official version in the near future.
