Recently, we discovered from the website of the China State Intellectual Property Office that Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd.’s patent for the “wireless charging method, system, and storage medium” has received authorization. According to information disclosed by Xiaomi Auto, when a vehicle requests charging, its charging coil automatically identifies the target vehicle’s location. Once the specific location is determined, the power transmitting circle automatically shifts to wirelessly charge the target vehicle.
Xiaomi Auto wireless charging patent eliminates the need for the driver to constantly adjust the parking position to achieve precise alignment between the power transmitting coil and the power receiving coil when charging the vehicle. Consequently, it reduces the complexity of parking operations and enhances parking efficiency significantly.
Furthermore, it’s noteworthy that Xiaomi Motors has been actively disclosing various patents, creating anticipation for Xiaomi’s inaugural car. Recent reports indicate that Xiaomi cars have successfully concluded summer testing. Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing affirmed that the car manufacturing process is progressing smoothly, and the target for mass production in the first half of 2024 remains unchanged.
Presently, Xiaomi Motors is in the trial production phase, capable of producing approximately 50 prototypes per week. Insiders anticipate that Xiaomi Motors will secure Tenna approval within the next two months and expect the latest approval by year-end. Once approved, Xiaomi Motors will be ready to comprehensively increase the production of Xiaomi cars.
