Xiaomi recently launched a series of new small appliances and introduced the MR852-C, a Xiaomi Mijia Water Purifier 800G RO under-the-kitchen water purifier, on e-commerce platforms on September 20th. This model stands out for its larger size and a shift to a single water outlet design, as well as an upgraded large-screen faucet and bass pump. Priced at 1,799 yuan (about $247) during the pre-sale period, it includes a limited edition Mijia supercharged hand shower.
The upgraded faucet features a large-screen digital display, providing a view of water quality TDS values and filter element life. This real-time monitoring capability allows users to track water usage data. Constructed with ABS material on the outside and stainless steel for the internal spout, it is durable and functional. Due to its single water outlet design, it exclusively dispenses pure water, making it unsuitable for washing vegetables. However, this design simplifies maintenance and usage.
Recognizing the constraints of kitchen space in older communities, the Mijia water purifier has been designed to be more compact, facilitating easier installation while maintaining a flow rate of 800G (2.1 liters/minute). The improved bass pump enhances water discharge efficiency by increasing the number of cavities, reducing noise, and ensuring quieter operation. The main waterway is free of bisphenol A, ensuring drinking water safety.
The Xiaomi Mijia Water Purifier 800G uses a dual-filter system: one for reverse osmosis (RO) and another for PPC. This system has a 2:1 wastewater storage ratio. The RO filter can clean 21,900L of water, lasts around 5 years, and costs 899 yuan(about $123). The PPC filter can clean 4,800L, costs 219 yuan(about $30), and lasts about 1 year. Both filters have RFID anti-counterfeiting chips, but third-party compatibility is uncertain.
Furthermore, pure water reflux tech reduces initial water’s TDS, making it taste better. Two self-flushing modes prevent filter clogs, and water pollution, and extend filter life when you power it on. With the Mijia APP, you can check water quality, track filter life, and order replacements.
